Our Mission

Vision, innovation, education for tomorrow (VIET) Foundation is an organization dedicated to improving access to education for underserved communities in Vietnam. Our mission is to sponsor students who need financial assistance for education. Through education, this population will have the opportunity to change the path of their lives and potentially the lives of their family members.

Our Vision

We believe that children, regardless of their background, should have access to quality continuing education should they choose that path. A lack of resources should not be a barrier to this education.

Our Team

We are dedicated to creating opportunities for youth in underrepresented, rural communities because of the similar challenges and struggles that we’ve experienced ourselves.

Duyen

Duyen is currently living in Oregon, where she works as a Registered Nurse with the pediatric population.  She was born and raised in Hue, Vietnam.  Although she immigrated to the United States in 2000, one of her biggest dreams is to give back to her community in Hue. Through the first 13 years of her life in Vietnam, she witnessed countless barriers to educational opportunities within her community.  Thus, the mission and vision of this foundation is the start of her dream in helping children in need to thrive by providing educational opportunities, resources, and support.

Huong

Huong is currently living in Saigon, Vietnam, co-founded a lifestyle brand which works with master artisans from various handicraft villages throughout Vietnam to create beautiful handmade products. Huong spent 7 years studying abroad in the U.S, she understands the importance of education and opportunities. By joining the foundation she hopes she will be able to help underprivileged students to have access to a better education and opportunities to advance in their professional life.

Traci

Traci was born in Hue, Vietnam, and was raised by her grandmother until she was 13 years old. Her grandmother struggled to get by but she worked hard to keep Traci in school. When Traci moved to the United States to reunite with her family, she made education her top priority. She obtained her nursing degree at the University of Washington. She’s been a nurse for 10 years and now owns her own business. Traci hopes to share her experience to help less fortunate students achieve their dreams.

Valeri

Valeri is an entrepreneur residing in Washington where she runs and operates an Adult Family home. She works with vulnerable adults with complex and progressive disease to achieve a dignified and fulfilling life. Helping people has always been Valeri’s greatest passion in life. With the V.I.E.T foundation, she has the opportunity to expand her passion to help under-privileged individuals, to achieve a better future, through higher education.

Amy V

Amy currently resides in Missouri and recently graduated with her Doctorate Degree in Chiropractic. Growing up in a small town, she never really explored her Vietnamese culture. Over the years, she has quickly learned that not everyone has access to the educational opportunities that she has been able to receive. She believes education is a bridge to so many opportunities, including self-exploration, networking, financial growth, and so much more. It is not something that should be withheld, especially due to financial circumstances. This foundation is a chance for her to give others’ opportunity, and she looks forward to giving back to her Vietnamese community.
